The main way in which technology is doing this is in the area of employee privacy. More and more, technology is making it so that employees can be monitored quite closely. Technology allows employers to record every keystroke an employee makes on a computer. Company cell phones can track where an employee goes. Many other examples of this sort of technological surveillance exist. Therefore, firms have to determine how they can protect employee privacy while, at the same time, doing enough monitoring to protect the firm's interests. This is an issue that has become much more pronounced since technology has become more prevalent in the workplace.
