Yes, goods and services can be imported and exported. Sometimes a country will export either of those things as a way to make more profit. Other times, a country might export those items to help out with another country's needs. A country will likely import goods and services because the country isn't capable of producing those things or it is cheaper to import it. One thing that I have always found interesting about importing and exporting is that sometimes a country will import and export the same product. This is the case with cars. The United States produces many cars, and it exports them to countries around the world while at the same time importing cars from various manufacturers around the world.

This question might be asking if it is possible to import and export both goods and services. The previous automotive example works for how a country can import/export goods and products. As for services, the main service that United States imports and exports is travel and transportation services.

Yes, both goods and services can be imported and exported.  In fact, the importing and exporting of services is one of the things that has boomed in the most recent wave of globalization.

Of course, goods can be imported and exported.  We see this every day.  Many things that you buy at Wal-Mart are labeled "Made in China," which means that they are goods that have been imported to the US.  On the other hand, the US does sell goods to other countries.  Some examples include Boeing airplanes and various agricultural products such as wheat.

But services can also be imported and exported.  For example, many times when we call a customer service number, we end up connected to someone in the Philippines or India.  This is a service that is being exported to us.  Conversely, if an American architecture firm designs buildings for a Chinese client, it is an example of services being exported.
