hmm....well Ginger Pye is a mystery as well as a story about a loving family and a missing pet. For the mystery section (and the part where they are looking for the dog on Thanksgiving day) I think i would choose something heavy and melancholy but still anxious. Maybe one of Vivaldi's Four seasons. In fact, you could probably find a way for all four of Vivaldi's Four Seasons to be used in the movie, as Ginger Pye goes through many different emotions, as do the songs.
