Just because the study didn't produce any significant benefits does not mean there aren't any. The best thing to do is try it (assuming your doctor says there is nothing wrong with you taking it), and see if there is any difference. That is the only way you'll see if it works for you.

It has been used in traditional medicine to treat circulatory disorders and enhance memory. Scientific studies tend to support these uses. Emerging studies suggest that it may be effective in treating ailments associated with decreased bloodflow to  the brain, especially in the elderly.

While for many years (since the 1970s, I believe)ginkgo biloba has been thought to improve cognitive functioning, there are now reports being published based upon the findings of a study that took place from 2000 to 2008. The participants studied were 72 to 96 years old. The study (which has been published in The Journal of the American Medical Association)JAMA indicates that no evidence was found during the study to indicate that ginkgo biloba affected the loss of cognitive that occurs as a result of aging.

As we age, the brain loses cells and shrinks its volume. Memory gradually decreases, and cognitive decline occurs.

In addition to other remedies, you can use and natural therapies, namely Ginkgo biloba, an herb that improves blood circulation, slows damage of cognitive function in people with Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. Also, the plant improves cognitive function in healthy people who have no problems with memory.

Do not forget! The more you have antioxidants in the blood, the more your brain will always be in shape.

It is a traditional medicine used in blood pressure and in memorary inhancement. Ginkgo biloba not only improves declining memory but offers specific benefits for other cognitive functions as well. Ginkgo's ability to improve blood circulation to the brain and extremities makes it useful for other conditions as well. Hundreds of scientific studies performed over the past 50 years demonstrated its effectiveness in treating hearing and vision problems, impotence, varicose veins, leg ulcers, and circulatory diseases such as stroke.
