At the G1 phase, the cell has complete sets of chromosomes. Now the cell can decide whether it will continue to cell divide or not. If it wishes to continue, the DNA replication of the chromosomes will begin until the end of G2 phase. G1, S and G2 are in the interphase. So before it gets to the mitosis, its chromosomes are already doubled. Letter A.
Nuclear membrane is still intact until the end of interphase which means that the nuclear membrane is present in G1, S and G2 phases. Now during the first stage of mitosis or metaphase, nuclear membrane starts to degrade. During prometaphase, the nuclear membrane breaks down so it will not be present after prometaphase and will be form again during telophase when daughter cell will separate. Letter D. Sometimes prometaphase is not included instead it is in the last part of prophase.
