A force F acts on a body of mass m initially at rest producing a uniform acceleration 'a' for time interval 't'. The work done on the body is a.1/2 ma^2t^2 b.1/2 maF c.1/2 ma^2F d.1/2 maF^2

Ans. a

since body was on rest

displacement due to un balanced force F say s

`s=ut+(1/2)at^2`   ,but it was on rest u=0

thus work done is

`W=F.S= m.a. (1/2)at^2`

`=(1/2)ma^2t^2`  Joules
