Material successes are those which allow the person to afford certain things (like homes, automobiles, expensive clothing). These are the types of items which show, externally, that a person is financially successful.
On the other hand, internal success is defined by the way the person's success changes them internally. They feel better about themselves on the inside. Internal success is defined by a feeling of satisfaction. Perhaps a person's goal in life was to become successful so that they could help other people (through charity). When a person is able to give back, after working hard (toiling), this allows them to feel emotionally fulfilled. Essentially, one cannot look at a person who is internally successful and see their success (outside of a smile on their face). Helping others, after struggling, make a person feel good about their own life. After facing their own struggles, they are able to make the lives of others easier.
Also, a person who toils to succeed will (most likely) not take what they have for granted; instead, the become appreciative people.
In order to write an essay which proves that the toils a person faces in life are responsible for their success, the idea needs to be a little more focused.
Different ideas to focus upon, regarding this idea, are: material success verses internal success (becoming a better person), learning from mistakes/challenges verses not learning from mistakes/challenges and the idea that the harder the path taken the more beneficial (showing growth in the person).
Once this is chosen, the support for the essay needs to be defined. For example, if one were to choose to write on material success verses internal success, the focus of the paper would illustrate how material success can be taken away at any time. Internal success, on the other hand, stays with a person as they grow, fail, learn, and succeed.
alright...so can you tell me for "material success versus internal success" ?
