Let x be the number of acres allotted for corn.

Since the land size for wheat is 62 more than x, we may express it number of acres as x+62.

The total lot size for the two plants is 430 acres. Then, our equation would be:

`x +x+62=430`

Combine like terms to simplify.

`2x+62=430`

`2x=368`

And solve for x.

`x=368/2`

`x=184`

So, the number of acres for corn is 184.

And, for wheat is:

`x+62=184+62=246`

Hence, the farmer should plant corn on 184 acres of land and 246 acres of wheat.
