Given the functions.

`(2x^2-6x-2)/(x^4 -16)`

We need t simplify by factoring.

We will factor the numerator and denominator.

`==gt (2x^2-6x-20)/(x^4-16) = ((2x-10)(x+2))/((x^2-4)(x^2+4))`

`` `= (2(x-5)(x+2))/((x-2)(x+2)(x^2+4))`

Now we will reduce similar terms (x+2).

==>`(2(x-5))/((x-2)(x^2+4))`
