The construction of a topic sentence in this realm is largely dependent on what evidence or analysis is going to be presented.  If the argument is about the potential loss of national identity, a topic sentence could be worked as "One potential negative side effect of globalization could be the loss of national identity through its presumed borderless world."   If your evidence leads to a very economic line of thought, perhaps the topic sentence could be, "The outsourcing of jobs is a distinct reality of globalization, contributing to destabilizing effects of national economies of scale."  In large part, the ability to construct a topic sentence is contingent on what you wish to prove and what you can argue with the given evidence or analysis.
