We need to find the definite integral of y = 4x^7 + 5x^-1 + 6*sinx for x=1 to x=2

y = 4x^7 + 5x^-1 + 6*sinx

Y = Int[ y dy] = Int[4x^7 dx] + Int[5/x dx] + Int [6*sinx dx]

=> Y= x^8 / 2 + 5*ln x - 6*cos x + C

To find the value of the integral between x = 1 and x = 2

Y(2) - Y(1)

=> 2^8 / 2 + 5*ln 2 - 6*cos 2 + C - (1^8 / 2 + 5*ln 1 - 6*cos 1 + C)

=> 2^7 + 5*ln 2 - 6*cos 2 - 1/2 - 0 + 6*cos 1

=> 127.5 + 5*ln 2 - 6( cos 2 - cos 1)

The definite integral is 127.5 + 5*ln 2 - 6( cos 2 - cos 1)
