Oliver generally possesses very good tendencies.  He was clearly kind, eager to please, and generally very intelligent and sensitive.  Despite growing up in rather difficult circumstances, he seemed to accept his difficult circumstances and being sent back to the home for children without great complaint and maintained a good attitude.

His one weakness or bad tendency was that of his incredible naievety.  He didn't see through Fagan or his boys and really thought that they were honest and hard working men rather than the thieves that they very obviously were.

Oliver possesses good tendencies.  He is a caring young man who has come from dire circumstances.  He maintains his integrity in the face of a very unethical environment. He is very innocent but this is not necessarily a bad quality.  I think he expects the best in people.

One problem is that Oliver is not as street smart as those around him.  Even though he grew up in the work house, he seems to be lacking the street smart that is needed for survival.  He is also easily taken advantage of due to his nature.
