Does the following quote seem personal to you? If not please respond in the voice of someone to whom it is personal.
Please explain in as much detail you can. Thank you very much!
"There's just so damn much ugliness. Everywhere you look, some big guy kicking some little person when they're down. It just goes on and on, there's no end to it. The whole way of the world is to pick on people that can't fight back."
Middle class citizens could likely more relate to this quote than any other body of people because they can see it from both sides. Take your average small business person for example. He is getting beat up by the government with all kinds of taxes and fees and demands now to pay health insurance for employees. But then he turns around and does the same to his employees by stripping their benefits, paying only minimum wage, or making sure they work 34 hours a week instead of 40 to qualify for full benefits.
The teacher who has their education budget cut decides to cut the fun activities and art tasks.
The dad who has a rough day at work after getting chewed out by his boss goes home and takes it out on his wife and kid.
This quote affects everyone. We all do this. There is too much ugliness in the world, but I'm not sure what you mean by asking to respond. I think I've given you some personal situations, but what do you mean by respond?
Yes, it is personal because I think at some time in everyones lives they have felt beaten down. Usually the reason for this is that other people feel the need to have power over others. They do this by picking on and belittling others.
The fact of the matter is that there is a lot of ugliness in the world. There are also a lot of selfish people in the world who look out for only for themselves. To me, this is what this quote is getting at. There are many selfish people who will do whatever it takes to make themselves prosper. It is sad but true.
