Does the beauty of nature prove God's design?

This is a common argument.  The problem is that nature is beautiful because people think it is beautiful.  In fact, all of the things that are really beauty are just practical in some way.  For example, colorful flowers are beautiful.  But they also attract pollinators.

No, it does not.  First of all, what should we make of the fact that not all of nature is beautiful?  And how do we know that what we think is beautiful is also beautiful in God's eyes?  We should understand that we have no way to prove intelligent design in an empirical way.  If we want to believe in it, we should believe it on faith alone.
