As a teacher, do you support students' exams in the school curriculum? And why??

 As a student because I do not think that these exams benefit students as they get tired mentally and physically, and also there are some students cheat in the exams, "or as we call humanitarian aid students in the exams"...

If you are talking about standarized tests such as end of course testing, I agree that they often fall short of their goal. The idea is that these tests will provide a viable assessment that can be compared to other students in other areas. This isn't always what the tests accomplish though. In terms of other exams or exams in general, I think they are a necessary evil. Teachers have to be able to assess their students. As bullgatortail said exams are integral part of school or college life. The problem with us is that we give more importance to exams. When we do that we may not get expected result from this. If we consider exams as a tool of testing then it is helpfull for a teacher and a student to asses whatever we have learned.
