DNA or deoxyribonucleic acid is found in the cell nucleus. The cell nucleus is responsible for all of the cells activity.Assuming the cell has a nucleus. Eukaryotic cells have true nuclei. Prokaryotic cells have no nucleus or any of the other membrane bound organelles like ribosomes or mitochondria. DNA contains all the genetic material that is responsible for hereditary traits like eye color, hair color, and stature. Meiosis is nuclear division, when the cell splits into two cells and each new cell ends up with one of each type of chromosome. A chromosome is a DNA molecule with many associated proteins.

DNA can be found in the nucleus, or brain of the cell.  DNA contains all the genetic information of the cell or the blueprint for cell identity.

Daughter cells also known as gametes are created during a process called meiosis.  This process consist of prophaseI, metaphaseI, anaphaseI, telophaseI, prophase II, metaphase II, anaphase II, and Telophase II.  once the cell completes the process of dividing gametes or sex cells have been produced.  In males these cells are sperm and in females these cells are eggs.
