It is highly unlikely the armed forces in Canada or the United States would attempt a military coup. Generally, there is little desire to change the government when the economy is prosperous. In countries like the United States and Canada, the population and military are generally satisfied with how well things are going. Economically, these countries are far better off than other countries. We have things people in other countries could dream about having. There is much freedom in both countries. Leaders are democratically elected. People are free to speak their mind. Nobody is jailed for opposing the government. People have freedom of religion. A military coup is generally attempted when things aren’t going well economically and politically. When many people are dissatisfied is when change is more likely to occur. Those conditions do not exist in the United States or Canada at this time.
