The hardest decision I ever made was deciding whether to take a job 150 miles and two hours away from my family. It was hard because the job seemed perfect, and I liked the area. It turned out that the job was terrible, and it turned out I didn't like the climate.

Many years ago, when I was in college, I was hoping to be a math teacher. So, I was taking a college class in calculus that proved to be quite challenging. I made a 32 on the first exam, an 81 on the second exam, and a 19 on the third exam. At that point, I figured that the situation was hopeless and so I stopped going to class. When I stopped going to class, I guaranteed that I would fail the class. This also put an end to any hopes I had of being a math teacher. It was the only time I have ever given up on anything. It was also the only time I ever made below a C in a class. Even though I failed the class, I learned a lot about myself from the experience. I also learned that you should not be afraid to drop a college class if you do poorly on the first exam. It is better to drop the class and try again later than to take the F.
