dramatic irony , resolving around irony, its gthe situation where contrary to what is expected is done.

-In the play it is very ironical that Olivia who has sworn to love not men falls in love with the desguised Viola as Cesario more over a lady. this is an example of the irony in this book. the effectiveness is that it exposes the diplomatic, loyality, charismatic charater of Viola as a character. it further denotes the theme of love in the play

- the other irony is Viola falling in love with Duke of Illyria Orsino. to remember that she is assisting him in wooing the lady Viola however she falls in love with the Duke herself. There is an obstacle to this because she posses as a lad infront of this Duke hampering her physical expressions. This depicts humour , love desguise in the play Twelfth Night.
