Did anybody die and why?It says that he left five minutes early. but then it says that the one guy left so that he doesnt want to get caught up in a crime. I'm a little confused.
On the night before the lawyer was going to complete his fifteen years of confinement and win his bet, the banker decided that he was going to have to kill him because he had suffered financial losses and wasn't able to pay the two million rubles he had wagered. But when he crept inside the lawyer's room, he found a document on the table stating that during his confinement the lawyer had learned to despise material things and that he intended to forfeit the money by deliberately leaving his confinement before the term was complete. The banker went back the following morning and found that the lawyer had kept his commitment and that he would not have to pay him the money. The banker was greatly relieved but also greatly ashamed of himself for keeping another man prisoner and then planning to kill him to get out of paying a legitimate debt.
No one dies. Because in the end, the banker found a letter came from the lawyer. Until he realize something and go back to his room. And he cried and he cried
there is no death in the story as my mates have said.
nobody died. at first the banker wanted to kill the lawyer in order for him not to pay the 2 million, but after reading the letter the lawyer wrote, and the way the lawyer looked, the banker pitied him and took back the idea of murdering the lawyer because in the letter the lawyer stated that he will forfeit the bet and get out before 5 minutes, so the banker doesn't need to pay the lawyer anything.
No. no body died . although the laywer didn't get any money he learned a valuable lesson that is there is more in life than money, and the banker was happy because he kept his 2 million.
NO ONE DIES............
ITS JUST THAT THE BANKER SEES THAT THE LAYERS BODY WAS LOOKIN LIKE A SKELETON N HE WAS THE ONE WHO LEFT THE PRISON AND RAN AWAY
