in detail, what was the process of how kings united their two kingdoms, what did they do, how did they do it and why did they do it? thank you :)

i need to know about the history and process of kings uniting their kingdoms because of a vision i have for churches to be united. i dont want anymore divided churches and i believe knowing this will help me cast this vision. thank you so much!

There are too many variables to give one simple process that describes how kings united their kingdoms. There were various ways in which such events developed.

One frequently followed process was for one king to militarily conquer part of another king's territory, thus adding it to his holdings. Charles VIII of France briefly added Italian territory, including Florence and Naples, to his area of control in the mid-1490's by defeating the forces led by King Ferdinand I of Naples, for example.

Another process of creating alliances, if not actually uniting kingdoms, was based on the marriage of children from the royal families of involved countries. Henry VIII of England's first wife was Catherine of Aragon, daughter of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain, an alliance that was established for the political advantages to both nations that it offered.
