Describe three defining moments in the life of Martin Luther which would radically change his life?
One very important moment in the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is when he was appointed president of the Montgomery Improvement Association. This association was created during the famous Montgomery Bus Boycott. He was arrested for starting a boycott but due to his efforts (along with many others), bus segregation was eliminated by the end of 1956.
In addition, Dr. King was one one of the civil rights leaders who organized the "March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom" in 1963. It was a very successful march and this when Dr. King made his famous "I Have a Dream" speech.
He was also nominated for the Nobel Peace prize in 1964 and at that time was the youngest person to ever receive one. He received the Nobel Peace Prize for his tremendous efforts to eliminate prejudice and discrimination through non-violent means.
