The cultural revolution of the 1920s was one in which the old, traditional values started to fade away and new values emerged in their place.  We should be sure not to overstate the degree of this revolution, but there were changes.

During the 1920s, people were better off and had more leisure time than ever before.  They also had more things that they could do for fun, such as listening to radios, going to movies, and driving in cars.  These things helped to create a new culture that was centered around having fun.  It manifested itself most famously in the new values that were shown by the flappers with their more open and emancipated ways.
