dd and i row w/forces 36N and 42 N. jv's direction make a 54 degrees angle with my direction. Find the magnitude of the force on the rubber boats.

i need complete solution. please help me for my physics assignment. thank you!

Rowing force of Barbra = 36N
Rowing force of Marga = 40N
Angle of Barbra's force with that of Marga = 54 deg
We determine the components of the two forces in the Marga's rowing direction and the direction perpendicular to it as under:
Total force in Marga's rowing direction = 36+40cos(54) = 61.16N
Total force in direction perpendicular to Marga's direction = 0+40sin(54) = 29.12N
Resultant force = sqrt(61.16^2 + 29.12^2) = 67.74N
Resultant direction = tan-1(29.12/61.16) = 25.46 deg with original direction of Marga

Here's the complete or real questio

Barbara and marga are moving to the center of the lake when suddenly a fierce creature springs from the lake. terrified, the twosome row frantically off shore. barbara and marga row with a force of 36N and 42 N respectively. Barbara's intended direction make a 54 degrees angle with Marga's intended direction. Find the magnitude of the force on the rubber boats.

The question is incomplete as the direction of dd is not given with my direction. Both directions of jv and dd are to be specified whether these are positive or negative with respect to my direction.
