Creating a magazine on the Beatitudes is a great idea. If I were creating this type magazine, I would title it "Beattitudes" or "The Attitude to Have" or "Blessed Attitudes" or Be Attitudes." I would begin by breaking down the Beatitudes:
"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." This means that the poor in spirit have something with which to look forward. The hope and promise of the kingdom of heaven helps one make it through this difficult life.
"Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted." This means that those who mourn shall find comfort. The Christian Bible states the Holy Spirit is a comforter who dwells within man to give him comfort.
"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." This is a promise based on attitude. For those who are humble or meek, the inheritance of the earth is a reward.
"Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied." To hunger and thirst for the right things is to be filled with satisfaction. it is important to hunger and thirst for the right things.
"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy." This Beatitude has promise. If you are merciful, you shall obtain mercy. Oh, what a glorious promise.
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God'" Oh, what a grand event. To be pure in heart means one will see God. To think that one shall see the creator of all flesh face to face is a majestic promise.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God." This is an awesome thought. To be called the children of God means God is our father. Oh, the intimacy to think that God is our father.
"Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Again, heaven is the reward for those who suffer. 'Tis sweet to suffer for righteousness. To know that heaven will be mine is a great consolation for all my suffering.
These are definitely the attitudes to have. With each attitude comes a blessed promise.
No doubt, a magazine entitled "Beattitudes" or "Be Attitudes" is a catchy title. Hopefully this helps you...
