Could you, please, tell me which research method is suitable for my Research Paper? My Research Paper will be about the effects of language teaching strategies used in primary public and private schools on students' aquisition of language. Thank you so much in advance.

For you to ultimately decide which methodology you want to use you have to formulate your research statement in one sentence. The research statement tells exactly what you want to test, how, with who, and with what outcome.
The problem that I see in your research goal is that you are testing too many variables. For example, choose whether you will do public and private school L2 teachers using ONE strategy. Which one does it better? Why? What are the factors?
There are so many language strategies for L2 applied in everyday classes that you would really have to extrapolate one and stick with it. If you are researching one strategy and comparing it between how it is applied in public vs. private schools then you may want to do a qualitative study where you list what factors benefit one over the other.
If what you want is to decide how this one strategy affects language learning as far as speed, or retention, then u may want to go quantitative and test a list of words or phrases taught using one method over the other. Then, you quantify how many of the words were retained over a period of time.
The point is to keep it very simple:
- one intervention, two variables
- qualitative vs quantitative
- identify your parameters and limitations
- state what your outcome is
- most importantly: keep asking yourself the rationale behind your study.
Thank you so much for your answer. What I really want from my research is to compare the strategy used in teaching languages in public primary schools with the strategy used in private primary schools, and see how these two kind of strategies affect students' educational achievement. I'd like to focus on a specific strategy, but here, in Morocco, schools do not actually use professional strategies in teaching as it is the case in many advanced countries. The distinctive difference between public and private schools in language teaching strategy is that in public schools they use the traditional way of teaching; they teach languages without using songs, giving the students the opportunity to communicate, listening to naitive speakers....and so on. While in private schools they use such kind of things. So, what should I really do now? I really feel so much confused. How do you suggest the title of my research paper should be?
