In light of what's going on around the world, it's pretty clear that Bill Gates hit the nail on the head with his predictions that the next war was going to take the form of a deadly virus. Covid-19 has taken the world by storm, and this fascinating Ted Talk by Gates will give you plenty to work with when you're preparing your speech.

To help you out, I'll briefly run through what goes into an introduction, a body, and a conclusion.

The introduction is where you outline what you're going to talk about. You could talk about the fact that when this Ted Talk was presented, COVID-19 was not even a consideration in most people's worst nightmares, but Bill Gates, in his infinite wisdom, was able to predict it and advise what should be done.

In the body of your speech, you could talk about what Gates discussed in terms of the lessons we should have learned from the Spanish Flu and Ebola outbreaks. You could also run through the practical measures that Gates mentioned would be needed to prevent such an outbreak.

In your conclusion, you could provide a caution that the fact that COVID-19 has now happened does not in any way mean there will not be another similar contagion in the future. The fact that we missed out on being prepared for this one does not mean we need face the same fate next time there is an outbreak.
