There is plenty of evidence that people can love each other forever.  (A famous example is provide by Will and Ariel Durant ... check them out.)  The real discussion here is about "love."  If it's only temporary, how does it differ from "lust"?  One of Shakespeare's Sonnets (116)  addresses this directly:

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

If it is impossible for two people to be in a state of love that does not allow them to overcome the vagaries of time, then I suggest that we think of another word to point at this temporary state of affairs --- infatuation, perhaps.

Yes, I beleive that two people can be meant for eachother. How else do people randomely meet with eachother?

Right.  It's random. They only think they were fated.

Are people fated for each other?  No, but that doesn't mean that the two people can't believe that they were. Everything is in the mind of the beholder.

sure, that can happen. if your not 14 years old and know not a thing about each other. in all honesty i believe shakspere went a little over board on the imagination scale, even for back then. a huge gapping difference seperates unyeuilding love and stupidity. with each tragic event after another and not one fact of whom each of the other person was, besides last names. so in answer to this question, sure, it can happen. just do not compare such a happing to the poetic tragady of Sir romeo and Juliet.

I think that two people can indeed love each other in this way! But this is to miss the most important point of the play (or indeed of any literature). As well as being entertained by it's story, we need to recognise that it is an entirely fictional construction with a purpose. Shakespeare wanted his audience to leave the theatre musing not only over his supreme poetic and dramatic abilities, but also over several aspects of Elizabthen society that he himself found unsavoury. These are the themes of the play of which an exploration of society, family life and various kinds of love are perhaps the main ones.

Viewed in this important and objective - if rather sceptical - way, you'll see that literature (or more accurately, narrative) is a highly persuasive device, perhaps the most persuasive form available to us.
