The heart is composed of cardiac muscle called the myocardium. An important distinction between types of muscles is whether they are voluntary or involuntary. The myocardium is involuntary. You don't have to tell your heart to beat--it does so on its own because your autonomic nervous system controls things like the beating of the heart. By contrast, skeletal muscle is voluntary--you make a conscious effort to use skeletal muscles. Skeletal muscles are the muscles attached to the skeleton. You use skeletal muscles during activities like walking, running, and talking.
