The main tenets of Christianity are the belief in God, in Jesus Christ as the savior of the world, generally an approach to the bible that suggests it is holy scripture, and an adherence to the ten commandments and others such as love thy neighbor with an acknowledgement that, in the end, it is through the grace of Christ that men can be saved, not just through their works, etc.
In Islam, there is a faith in a particular text, in this case the Quran, and in a divine prophet who was similar to Christ, Muhammad, as well as faith in God, in this case Allah. Muslims believe that Muhammad an Christ were both prophets who revealed Allah's will and believe in certain duties (five pillars) which believers must adhere to.
