The color "blue" appears multiple times in the first chapter what does it mean figuratively? I'm trying to write a literaly analysin of The Antelope Wife and I cn't figure out what "Blue" symbolizes

The color blue is associated with different emotions depending on what shade of blue is being used. Pale blue denotes innocence and childhood, or the early innocent stages of romance. Bright medium blue is associated with law and order (police, military), with routine and strength. Navy or deep blue is a sophisticated color, often used to portray wealth, power and government. Blue is also considered a soothing, calming color, esecially the paler shades. Turquoise is an unusual color and often denotes flamboyance or artistic temperaments.
