There are 6 possible outcomes for the die roll, and there are 2 possible outcomes of the coin toss.  The two are independent events, i.e. the outcome of the one does not affect the other, so there are (6x2) 12 possible outcomes.  Of these only 1 (roll 5 and toss heads) is the desired outcome, so the probability is `1/12`
