The price of a 3 topping pizza is $15.25 and the price of a 5 topping pizza is $17.75. If the price of a plain cheese pizza is P and the cost of each topping is T, the following equations can be created:

P + 3T = 15.25 ...(1)

P + 5T = 17.75 ...(2)

(2) - (1)

=> 2T = 2.5

=> T = 1.25

P = 11.5

The price of a plain cheese pizza is $11.5 and each topping costs $1.25
