In Chapter 20 of To Kill a Mockingbird, Scout identifies Mr. Dolphus Raymond as an "evil man." Is she right? A quote would also be extra help. :)

An illustration of the letter 'A' in a speech bubbles

I think the people of Maycomb who think Dolphus Raymond is evil are the evil ones. Dolphus is one of the few people in Maycomb who treats Negroes as equals, and he has been labeled as an outcast because of his preference for their company. He deliberately weaves about town pretending to be drunk in order for the white people who despise him to "latch onto a reason" about his behavior, knowing they could understand the real truth. He displays a love for his fellow man--both black and white--that others in Maycomb should emulate.
