Celebrate different cultures/black history month Usually my school has an assembly each year to recognize black history month.  Most of the students during this assembly appear bored and get very little out of it.  This year my school is trying to come up with more creative ideas.  The leading one is having a cultural fair where students can learn about other cultures. What are some things your schools do to recognize different cultures and celebrate black history month?

The best way to get the most out of Black History Month is by getting students involved.  Have them create their own presentations. They can do this individually, but it is more meaningful in groups. Examples include skits, song performances, biographical presentations and readings.
