In order to cite a source with an APA citation you want to know the names of the authors, the name of the article, the journal number and the year the article was published. Typically you will write a citation starting with the author.
Author Last Name, First Initial. (Year Published). Title of the Article. Title of the Periodical. Volume #. Issue #. Page #.
If there is more than one author it would look like:
Author Last Name, First Initial., Author Last Name, First Initial. (Year Published). Title of the Article. Title of the Periodical. Volume #. Issue #. Page Number.
If this did not come out of a journal article but from a government document or report the format is slightly different.
Institute of Medicine. (2003). Title of Article. (# ed.). Retrieved from ENTER WEB ADDRESS ENTER DATE RETRIEVED.
