Metabolism: All chemical reactions within an organism.

Glucose: A simple carbohydrate or monosacharide produced by plants in photosynthesis, the chemical formula is C6H12O6

Proteins: Their structure and function is made of H, O, C, N.

Structure of Proteins: Amino acids are building blocks. There are 20 different kinds, and all have the same elements but in different amounts. Polypeptides chains of amino acids are joined by peptide bonds. Protein chains of POLYPEPTIDES are used to make SKIN, HAIR, MUSCLE, ORGANS, etc.

Enzymes: Cells use enzymes to speed up chemical reactions that take place in cells. Enzymes must collide with enough energy to break bonds creating a chemical reactions. Chemical reactions create energy.

metabolism is the sum of the physical and chemical processes in an organism by which its material substance is produced, maintained, and destroyed, and by which energy is made available.

Proteins are macromolecules They are constructed from one or more unbranched chains of amino acids; that is, they are polymers

Metabolism:the chemical and energetical changes where products resulted from digestion are necessary to anabolic and catabolic processes of the body.

Anabolism is the process of synthesis, the recovery of own tissue from simple substances.

Catabolism is the degradation process of composite substances, used as energy source.

Amino acids from foodstuffs are transportted by blood cells in tissues and they are used in body protein synthesis.Excess amino acids are oxidized, they are turned into carbohydrates  and they are burned whith the result of energy elimination.

Lipids can be synthesized from carbohydrates and protein.

Carbohydrates are broken down to glucose and are absorbed through the intestinal wall, getting into bed blood.
