A Full-Sentence Outline is an outline used to write an essay, but with each topic and sub-topic written as a full sentence instead of as fragmented bullet points.
Angels and Demons is a bestselling thriller by Dan Brown, published in 2000.
A thesis statement for a full-sentence outline is the same as any other thesis statement; it contains the basic topic and/or argument you intend to attack or defend in the body of the essay. Since the outline is full-sentence, the thesis statement will be the same in either the outline or the essay. The themes of this novel include science vs. religion, honor, honesty in moral leadership, and of course action and adventure. You have a lot of topics to choose from
For example, a good thesis could be: "Religious zealots often use scientific advances to further their beliefs." This thesis can be shown from the novel itself and from historical examples, such as the use of airplanes as weapons on 9/11/2001.
Another good thesis could be: "Moral guardians often bend or distort the truth to ensure that their leadership remains unquestioned." The novel's character of The Camerlengo, who lies to protect his status, can be compared to many religious leaders in history who wilfully lied to their followers.
Another good thesis could be: "The advancement of science is sometimes contrary to the safety of mankind." The creation of stable antimatter in the novel, which could be used as a terrible weapon, can be compared to the development of the nuclear bomb, or recent concerns about the Large Hadron Collider at CERN (which is itself a major plot point in the novel).
