After completing MBA Mr Ravi joined Simax a medium sized leather manufacturing company, as an assistant HR manager. List out all the possible roles and responsibilities of Mr Ravi anf relate it with the organizational functioning. Also what are the expected qualities he should posses to accomplish his job successfully?
As an assistant HR manager, Mr. Ravi has to be able to fully understand the vision of the organization and HR's role in accomplishing it. Since he is entering in the capacity of an assistant, I believe that Mr. Ravi is going to have to spend some time fully absorbing what the exact organizational function of HR is and how he will work towards achieving it. Certainly, being able to shape and mold the workforce will be part of Mr. Ravi's responsibilities. To that end, he will need to develop a clear understanding that is shared with both his superior and his organization as to what type of employees will be needed in the present and future of the organization. Along those lines, Mr. Ravi might have to be involved in discussions about staffing reductions, terminations, and understanding the procedure in all of them and how they will progress. I imagine that in the short term, Mr. Ravi will have to spend some time making sure that he is clear as to the organization he is entering and the people with whom he is working.
