Solve `c/d+2=f/g` for c:

To solve for a variable means to isolate the variable (get the variable by itself on one side of the equation.) We accomplish this by using inverse operations.

`c/d+2=f/g`  First subtract 2 from both sides of the equation:

`c/d= -2+f/g`  Now multiply both sides of the equation by d:

`c=d(-2+f/g)`
