A concept map is a way to illustrate an idea, word or term. In the center of your map, will be the word--biodiversity. Around the word biodiversity, you can draw arrows which lead to other words or terms related to biodiversity. For instance, you could write such things as--healthier ecosystem, maintains a stable ecosystem, variety of species, wide range of different species interacting with eachother and the abiotic environment, different organisms play a variety of roles (niches) to contribute to the stability of the ecosystem, species richness, diverse habitats. From these ideas, you could extend more arrows and further develop the original ideas. If biodiversity is threatened, species can be lost to extinction. Therefore, it is critical to protect living things as well as their habitats for the health and stability of planet Earth!
