Here's one!

The Rorschach Inkblot Test was developed/based on a common parlour game called "Blotto" or Klecksographie (German for 'blot and blot game). People would gather in someone's home parlor and sit around making inkblots on paper, unfolding them, and then passing them around to see what people thought they saw in the blots.  People would tell stories or write poems or just say what they saw when they looked at the blots.

A fun fact about psychology? Here's one:

Did you know that in the 17th century, doctors believed that hysteria, or hysterical actions, were caused by "disturbances" in a woman's uterus? The word "hysteria" comes from the Greek word "hystera," meaning "womb." That's why the operation to remove the uterus is called a hysterectomy (that is, getting rid of the hysteria). Read the article I've added a link to for then common treatments of hysteria and sexual dysfunction. It's a little too embarrassing for me to include here! (That ought to pique your interest.)
