Human resources is an interesting field, as is just about anything that deals with human behavior. Your topic wasn’t very specific. It would be easier to answer if I knew what field what we were talking about. But I’ll just answer generically.
If I were doing research in the human resources field, I’d be interested in trying to determine what kinds of things generate and sustain employee loyalty. Some businesses have so much turnover that they are constantly hiring and training new people, which can be a drain on productivity. What companies don’t suffer from this problem and why?
I’d also like to look at how organizations go about improving worker productivity. What sort of training programs and management techniques seem to work best? This is a little trickier than it sounds. All organizations try to find ways to train people, but a lot of these efforts are not taken seriously by employees. Some businesses do it better than others. How and why?
