Can anyone help me with this question please? The impact Dickinson's poetry upon the reader. Thanks!

The first strategy a poet (or rather the speaker or persona of the poem) will use to engage the reader is direct address of the reader using pronouns like "you," "your," "we," and "us."  Also consider how some of the poems create a dramatic situation that places the reader among the people in the scene.  Dickinson may place herself and the reader among the mourners through the use of pronouns and creating very specific behavior occuring in that room.  Dickinson writes about feelings and circumstances that can be considered everyday or commonplace, but she adds the artistry of poetry to make the reader see the commonplace as exceptional.
