Can anyone help me know what to write for a letter from Gene to Finny? I am writing a letter for class. It can be from Gene to Finny or Finny to Gene. I'd like to write it as Gene to Finny, but I'm not sure what to write.

Gene would talk in his letter about his guilt over deliberately causing Finny to fall and break his leg. But as he returns to Devon after an absence of fifteen years, walks the old corridors, and stops at the tree Finny fell from he says:

Looking back now across fifteen years, I could see with great clarity the fear I had lived in, which must mean that in the interval I had succeeded in a very important undertaking: I must have made my escape from it.
