E-notes has an extensive collection of study guide materials on a wide range of topics.  Although I did not check every book that you listed in your question on E-notes, I did locate The Fifties by Halberstam on the site.  After reading through several portions of the summary guide as well as information about the author, I am sure that you will be able to utilize the information provided by E-notes to assist you in writing your report.  Moreover, I have always found that if I did some outside research on the topic of a non-fiction book it helped when writing my final analysis. E-notes can also help you here if you choose to do so.  The links are provided below. Good Luck!!!

Although looking at the time frame you provided; this response may be of no use to you now but the Stephen Ambrose book Band of Brothers was made into a an HBO Movie Mini Series and directed and/or produced by Steven Spielberg and Tome Hanks. Having read the book and seen the movies series they are very similar. Given the timing of when your report is due there is really no time for you to view the movie series or for me to provide a brief synopsis. In brief the book surrounds around the Easy Company or part of the 101st Airbourne group that was dropped into NAZI occupied France and their exploits from that point to the V-E Day. Perhaps the major arena of the book surrounded their involvement at the Battle of Bastogne. Most public libraries have the DVD series available for free or typically a very minimal fee; please note that it is a very long series to view (6 hours or so?). This is probably not going to help you though due to your time restraints.
