I do not like the work "bored."  In the world today, there are so many opportunities to do things that there should be no reason to be bored.  It is up to the individual to find ways to entertain himself.

Getting interesting in some particular topic whether it is politics, history, current events, facebook, games, and on and on.... there are so many interesting things in the world to find out about or to take an interest in that being bored is like a dirty word.

I am old [65] and yet, I can honestly say that I have never been bored. I have had many experiences in  life. My interests are varied.  I love reading.  I love NASCAR. I love crochet. I love working on the computer.  I love television. I love animals.  I like shopping. I love movies. I could go on and on.

I choose not to be bored.  Living by myself, I could allow myself to sit around and do nothing. is too short, and there are too many wonderful possibilities out there waiting to be tried.

Money is always a problem. Sometimes people use it as an excuse not to do things.  There are things to do that does not cost money...

If a young person is bored, t they need to get up and go for a walk with his or her eyes wide open looking for opportunities to do something.  Do anything to keep from having the feeling that I have nothing to do.  It is not healthy.

It always helps to look for ways that a person can help others.  Get involved with a group.

If a person is depressed, may be medication is needed.

Do not allow yourself to be bogged down--fix it!

Yes, sometimes I am bored because I have always had such a busy life while I am now retired with more time available.  Many of my friends still work or we've drifted apart while our lives were busy.  I have many things I should do, but don't really want to as they aren't the interests they once were.  However, I find that if I start feeling bored, I usually need some exercise, a place to volunteer, a project that I WANT to do, or a way to help someone else.  I find that if I help someone, I get more out of it than they do, and the boredom lifts.

I am not currently teaching full-time, and I find myself with lots of extra time on my hands. So, yes, I find myself bored once in a while, and many days seem to be a repeat of the day before. But it gives me time to catch up on my reading and my eNotes Q&A, so my days are not always an ennui-filled waste.

I am never bored if that means not having anything to do.  Sometimes I have things to do I do not want to do.  However, right now I am working several jobs and trying to save up money for the house I hope to buy very soon, so I am pretty much never bored!

Since you asked ; ), no. Far too much which needs to be done. As a full-time teacher. mother, grad student, and wife, life does not leave me much extra time. That said, I do not know what I would do with any down time.

Not now, but sometimes I get bored too. I get bored with life, having a lot to do but can not.. In my case it happens when I have to face a load of undone home work, there i feel depressed :/... and i feel bored when i have nothing to do too. Once i started woking this boredom dissapears.. i it just temporary just like the other things in life.

I am very bored right now. This is because today is the only day that I get to do whatever I want. I'm not busy with schoolwork (this is the first weekend that my AP Language and Composition teacher didn't give us a paper to write), my job, sports, etc. So I always find the days that I'm doing nothing to be very boring.
