Bianca is beautiful and sought after by many suitors. Probably because of that she has learned to be fairly manipulative with men--including her own father. Clearly she's more than the simpering daughter who tells her father she'll do whatever he wishes in purest obedience. She treats the tutor she has no interest in quite poorly (breaks a guitar over his head), and she conspires with the one she does like to get married without her father's permission. Bianca is not all she appears to be, obviously, and her final refusal to answer her husband's beckoning is proof that Bianca ia perhaps more shrewish than her sister Kate ever was.
