Yes, do alot of it !!! The practice of medicine is a noble calling. Congratulations to you on your choice of a profession. We all learn by different methods and techniques but one important quality to have as a student of ANY subject is perseverance. You have made a decision to go to school, now make another decision to succeed. Slow, steady progress wins the race(remember the tortoise and the hair ?). Do something daily to advance your goal. Every morning ask yourself...what will I do today to get one step closer. The goal itself will motivate you. To be a physician, you MUST be totally committed to that goal and you must accept the idea of becoming a life long learner in your chosen field. Sometimes all we need is sheer determination. You must keep your eye on the prize but also learn to enjoy the journey. Good Luck and get to studying !

It is very important to stay focused. If you can stay focused on your goal then it will make it that much easier. Students who are going into this field need to be very dedicated and stay very responsible. You will need to spend a great deal of time studying to keep your grades up. Medical school is very competitive so you will want to be your absolute best right from the start.

As far as studying goes, I think it really depends on what type of learner you are. A good rule of thumb is study frequently, even for short periods of time. You will want to take good notes in class and review them frequently throughout the day. This will help you to retain that knowledge.
