*x+2* is called a "binomial expression" because it contains two parts or terms. (The prefix *bi* means having two.) In general, algebraic expressions are defined as a combination of numbers and variables linked by an operation such as addition or multiplication. An algebraic expression does not have an equal sign. If it did, we would call it an algebraic equation.

*x+2* is a binomial expression.

There is no other final answer except x+2.

Cannot be simplified or further calculated. X and 2 are two completely different entities and so its impossible to add them together, or subtract for that matter.
